LUNA FESTIVAL. 2015


Saw the event over facebook last week and my instinct tells me to go here.

          Checks the calendar if there's a conflict in schedule (wala naman. okay this is the sign).
          A few calls and text to kaladkarin friends (yehey may mga nagconfirm!Game na game na itu!)
          All set!

So there!
Bukas na ito and I'm excited !  (hopefully hindi na naman ako maligaw as  it will also be my first to go to TIU Theater) Update tomorrow.

Happy 8th Birthday Travel Factor!

Straight from the office I went to B-Side on a Saturday night.
Going to the event   meant completing a circle for me. 


In January 2014, I heed the invitation (heard over the radio when I was mindlessly clicking stations) to join their birthday party, I brought along an office friend, we paid the entrance and enjoyed the night away (I did regret wearing 5 inch shoes though). Apparently, they are also recruiting –and so that’s how I met Travel Factor.

The ticket that made me do it! After that radio announcement I stalked TF online (oooops!) :P 

After the first training trip, getting upclose with my favorite bands, loving the heat at Zambales, getting fired up in Sagada - can't believe it! I've made it being a Travel Factor coordinator!

What a year!If only I got Saturdays as part of my weekend I could have had a chance to be "The" Coordinator of the Year! HAHA Just kidding Peter(You should have seen his reaction when his name was called! Haha peace Pete!CONGRATULATIONS!!!)

... So for Travel Factor’s Year 8 without donning on fancy wear and just getting comfy in flats (FLATS.Thank goodness!) the TF YEAR8 party was a blast!

And while surfing the net I stumbled upon their nice book give away contest. This triggered the hoard-free-stuff  hormones so here I am. Best of luck!

I'm still a work in progress and to stay true to my goals and stop procrastinating we better just live by the Nike logo:JUST DO IT!



Did a paper cut of DO IT NOW a letter-sign I saw over the net. The Hello Color notebook is my goal tracking device. Every morning I simply list down the 5 things that should be done within the day.
 
Tip: Everyday I realllllly try hard to write down three things I'm thankful for that happened that day. This keeps me sane when things becomes overwhelming.

It's official!

I'm claiming my baby back!

Hahaha! It’s been ages since I've set foot over the Blogosphere thinking I'm a writer and I ought to express myself into writing. 

On and off I'll write something just to get some shit out of my head. So, basically I used to blurt out crappy phrases and call them my newest masterpiece. I hope I know better now (so that my high school English teacher will not spank me when I get to meet her again. Hi there Ma'am Lupisan!) 

Inspired by http://1000pluscoffees.tumblr.com/ (but not with his budget) I revised it to a 100plus coffees to fit my monetary concerns HAHA. 

In a span of six months (or less,) I should have finished this personal project in time for my 25th birthday. 

Here's the mechanics (to win a coffee date with ---me! LOL):

1. Included in my FB friends list as of December 31, 2014.
2. Second, I'll take out the names (from the said FB friends list) into the List Randomizer at random.org (http://www.random.org/lists/).
3. The first 100 who made the cut (ehem) will then be invited for -old times' sake - a cup of freshly brewed coffee (Filipino owned coffee shop syempre!). 
4. Ask and get asked -all the stuff during interviews- and then BLOG away!

Just like Matt (the author of the *inspirational blog*) this is 
"An exercise in remembering to socialize with and get to know people outside of the 'book and a celebration of the individual humans I've had the pleasure of meeting throughout my life so far."

Slow and Steady: Conquering My First 21K Run United Philippine Marathon

Hola!

Just when I thought I couldn't make it... I... I.......I crossed the finish line alive!

Hahaha!

Here I rounded up some lessons I got from running my first Run United Phillipine Marathon 21K category.

1. TRAIN,TRAIN and TRAIN
Yes! I can't stressed this enough.

Pinagmamalaki ko pa namang nakatakbo na ako (actually more lakad more fun nung nag 21K uphill challenge ako sa Cavite early this year. At ang claim to fame ko ay higit apat na oras para don! Hahaha) pero hirap din ako nung mismong run.

Since bagong lipat pa lang ako sa QC eh paikot ikot lang muna ako sa  street bandang Scout Tobias. Ayun paikot ikot ng takbo, binibilangan na nga ako ng mga nakaistambay sa gilid gilid ..."o naka tat long ikot ka na ate"...

Buti na lang I discovered  Planking (not the one you are thinking.hmmmp). Yes nakatulong sa akin yon. Para sa stamina. As of now 3.5minutes ang pinakamatagal ko.

Kakaplanking ko eh may placebo effect saken na tumibay tibay naman ang stamina ko. Kaya naman mahigit 2 hours slow and steady ang run ko. After nun hahaha ayun more lakad more fun ulit.

2.  COMPLETE GEAR dappaaaaaaat

Hay nako. I should have brought a phone holder.P

Nakakangalay nga naman tumakbo n may hawak hawak kang CP. Kasi naman eh. Heyneker.

3.  MAG REGISTER ng maaga

First Step. Register sa run na sasalihan para committed agad.

Second Step. Be on time sa Race.

4. GET ENOUGH SLEEP

If ang run ay sa Sunday. Yung Friday dapat sapat sa tulog kasi sa Saturday.Ayun.Tinamaan na ng bongang bongang excitement di n ako nakatulog.


5. ENOUGH NUTRITION

Yes. Tama. For me dapat kumain nga naman ng sapat like 1.5 hour before the run at uminom na ng 1 liter of water 1-2hours before the run.

Over all it was a great run! Masaya dahil feeling accomplished ako.

As of October 2014 best time for 21K is 3 hours 33 minutes.
 What I wore and brought for the RUPM 2014. Dirty shoes because of muddy claiming area hehehe

DIY: Graham Balls

I tasted one and I can't help but to create my own. Google didn't fail me so I got a recipe in a flash.

So here it goes short and sweet how-to. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1. MY San Crushed graham 250g
2. Alaska Condensed Milk 250ml
3. Big Mallows (it's a pack I bought at Unimart, Greenhills)
4. Alaska Powdered Milk



Instructions:
1. PREPARE all ingredients. Pour contents in separate bowls.
2. MIX crushed grahams and condensed milk.
3. ROLL a spoonful of the mixture into a piece of marshmallow.
4. DIP the rolled graham ball into the powdered milk.


Presentation:

I got wax paper cups and plastic container from Unimart too. And I love the result!
